The 2018 nomination and application cycle for the Sorenson Legacy Awards for Excellence in Arts Education is now open!

Philanthropist, Beverley Taylor Sorenson has been working tirelessly to promote the arts as an avenue for Utah’s students to develop a voice, sustain engagement in school, and evoke reflection and response. Through the support of the Sorenson Legacy Foundation and the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), the Sorenson Legacy Awards for Excellence in Arts Education will be:

  • Recognizing the essential nature of education in the arts for Utah’s students
  • Distinguishing those educators who embrace the arts with excellence in their practices
  • Ensure that Beverley’s legacy will continue on through these and other efforts to help promote the education of the Arts among Utah’s Students
